Car Hits Bulkhead

By Press Release

WILDWOOD – Wildwood City Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Dock and Susquehanna avenues Nov. 28 at approximately 9:47 p.m. for a motor vehicle accident, reported as a vehicle into the bulkhead.
Engine Co. 38, under the command of Capt. Daniel Dunn, found a vehicle through the bulkhead at the street end along Ottens’ Harbor.
The driver had attempted to flee the scene on foot behind houses in the neighborhood but was caught nearby by off-duty Wildwood Fire Official Ronald Harwood.
The driver was subsequently arrested by the Wildwood Police Department for suspected driving under the influence. There were no injuries as a result of the accident, however the vehicle and bulkhead both suffered significant damage.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
