Car Drifts, Hits Pole, Driver Injured

RIO GRANDE – Middle Township Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Wildwood Boulevard May 22 at 8:05 a.m. The initial investigation revealed Dolores Vandegrift, 72, of Tabernacle, N.J., was traveling eastbound on Wildwood Boulevard. The Ford Explorer she was operating drifted off the road and struck a utility pole, causing the vehicle to rollover. 
Vandegrift was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.
The crash is still under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
