Camden Man Crashes Through Goshen Fence; Faces DWI

GOSHEN — On Sunday, Aug. 2 at approximately 3 a.m., Middle Township police received a “911” call of a motor vehicle crash in the area of mile post 14.5 of Route 47.
The initial investigation revealed that Luis Maldonado, 30 of Camden, was operating his motor vehicle North on Route 47 when he apparently fell asleep which caused his vehicle to cross the center line, and strike a split rail fence on the property of 439 Route 47. Minor injuries were sustained to the driver, who was treated at the scene by members of the Court House Rescue Squad, and transported to Cape Regional Hospital.
A search of the vehicle revealed a small quantity of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. He was charged with Driving while intoxicated, Possession of CDS, Driving while Suspended and other motor vehicle offenses.
