By Press Release

WILDWOOD CREST – Wildwood Crest Police and Wildwood Crest Rescue responded to Cardinal Road and New Jersey Avenue Aug. 15 at 9:19 a.m., for a motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist.
Officers arriving found the bicyclist, Dejana Vujatu, 22, of Bulgeria, injured and lying on the street. The vehicle involved in the collision was operated by Barbara Dravecky of Turtle Creek, Pa. The ongoing investigation alleges that the bicyclist may have failed to stop at the red traffic signal controlling the intersection. Vujatu was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for an extensive lower leg injury by Wildwood Crest Rescue Squad. No other injuries were reported and the accident remains under investigation.
Wildwood Crest Police urge bicyclists to always wear a helmet and to obey the traffic laws of New Jersey when operating a bicycle.
