Body Surfer Airlifted After Collapsing on Wildwood Beach

WILDWOOD– A 19 year-old female body surfer was airlifted to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City by South Star medevac after a striking her head, around 4:15 p.m., on Saturday, July 25 on the 26th Street beach.
According to reports the victim was body surfing when she struck her head. The victim then walked up to a lifeguard stand and collapsed going in and out of consciousness.
The flight crew reported the patient to be in stable condition.
