DENNISVILLE — Firefighters from Belleplain and Dennis Volunteer Fire Company responded to an early morning call for mutual aid Sat., April 2.
According to the company’s website, “Dennis Volunteer Fire Company was requested by Station 22 (Belleplain) for a mutual aid response to handle a landing zone at Russo’s Field on Route 47 in Eldora at about 4:30 a.m.
Station 22 was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Route 47 and Washington Avenue.
Upon arrival, Emergency Medical Technicians from Squad 22, Belleplain Emergency, requested a helicopter to fly one patient to the hospital.
Engine 1838 responded to the landing zone at Russo’s Field, in the area of the former Eldorado Motel, to establish a landing zone for med-evac helicopter Atlantic Air 2.
The New Jersey State Police also responded to the scene.”
