BURLEIGH – Middle Township Police Department responded to a one-car motor vehicle crash on Rt. 9 in Burleigh Feb. 11 at 8:50 p.m.
According to Middle Township Police Capt. John Edwards, Emily Swartz, 19, of Villas was driving her 2005 Subaru Forester south on Rt. 9 when she said a trash bag blew in front of her car, which she initially thought was an animal. Swartz swerved to avoid it and hit a utility pole.
Swartz was not injured. Her car had to be towed and the utility pole had to be replaced, resulting in the road being closed and detoured for several hours.
No charges are planned for Swartz, Edwards told Shore News Today.
Around the time of the crash, Atlantic City Electric’s outage map showed over 1,000 Burleigh residents without power.
Frank Tedesco, Atlantic City Electric spokesman, told Shore News Today there were two power outages associated with the accident. The first outage lasted about an hour after the accident.
Middle Township Rescue Squad and Court House Volunteer Fire Company also responded.
Villas – I guess Kamala Harris was just too honest, too intelligent and too sane of a person to win an election in a racist, sexist, backward country like America.
