Alleged DUI Driver Plows Car into Auto Repair

GREEN CREEK – An alleged intoxicated driver plowed her vehicle into the front of a local auto repair shop in the wee hours of Jan. 17.
Middle Township police responded to a call at 2 a.m. reporting a motor vehicle crash at Art’s Auto Repair at the intersection of Bayshore Road and Route 47.
Upon arrival, police observed 2005 white Chevrolet Equinox crashed into the front of the building causing severe damage, stated police. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time
A brief investigation by Ptl. Martino located the driver, identified as Sara Grossman, 24, of Villas. According to police Grossman was traveling north on Route 47 and struck the building as she attempted to make a left hand turn onto Bayshore Road.
Grossman was not injured. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and other related motor vehicle offenses. She was processed and later released on a summons.
