WILDWOOD– South Star medevac was called to the Cape May Armory to airlift a 7 year-old male who was reportedly found unresponsive in the deep end of a hotel pool at around 9:15 p.m., on Saturday, July 25.
A 14 year-old rescued the boy and performed Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation until help arrived. The victim was successfully revived, according to reports from the medevac flight crew.
The flight crew reported the 7 year-old was awake and alert and breathing on his own. His mother was reported to be onboard.
The child was transported to Cooper University Trauma Center in Camden.
