COURT HOUSE – Middle Township will be getting a new Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurant sometime in the spring, the company confirmed.
“It will feature the brand’s signature Chipotlane – a drive-thru pickup lane that allows guests to conveniently pick up digital orders without leaving their cars,” said Annie Gradlinger, external communications spokesperson with Chipotle.
The ‘Chipotlane’ is not a drive-thru lane. No orders will be taken in the lane, but will be taken over the phone or other device via the Chipotle app. The customer will be able to retrieve the order at a pickup window. If the order is not ready, the customer will be directed to designated parking areas to wait for the order.
The site of the new Chipotle will be located at 6 Court House-South Dennis Rd., which is next to Mattress Firm in Court House. The former medical office at that site is being demolished to make room for the new restaurant.
The new project required variances for front yard setback, signage, parking, and a landscape barrier. Waivers were needed for providing curbing related to off-street parking, one shade tree per 30 linear feet of parking, 50 feet between the property line and entrance drive, a community impact statement, an environmental impact study, and a traffic study.
Demolition has already begun on the former medical office.
