The 34th Annual Cape May County Lifeguard Championship was held July 7 at Ocean Avenue and Rambler Road in Wildwood Crest. Wildwood Beach Patrol won for the first time ever by one point to beat Ocean City 19-18. Sea Isle City took third place with 15 points.
