MONTGOMERY, MARLON Marlon Montgomery, a man cherished for his friendli-ness, kindness, and selflessness, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, at the age of 61, in Cape May Court House, New Jersey. Born on December 8, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, Marlon was a beacon of light in the lives of everyone he touched. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Mary Allen Montgomery, and his devoted son Marlon Montgomery, along with his son's wife, Monica. Marlon's legacy continues through his four adored grandchildren: Brianna, Isaiah, Amiyah, and Elijah. He was a dear brother to Sandra Montgomery, Charles Montgomery, and Alisa Montgomery. His warmth and guidance will be deeply missed by his beloved Aunt Dorothy Pierce, Aunt Gladys Pierce, and Uncle King Pierce. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Tascal Montgomery and Marie Ruth Pierce Montgomery. Marlon moved to Cape May Court House in 1989 from Houston, Texas, weaving himself into the fabric of the community as a Cottage Training Technician at Woodbine Developmental Center and later at Active Day, where his love for his clients was met with their love for him in return. His devout faith was nurtured as a member of Lakewood Church in Houston under Pastor John Osteen before relocating. An outdoor enthusiast, Marlon enjoyed fishing, gardening, and tending to his flowers, which brought him immense joy and peace. His gentle spirit and generous heart left a profound impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him. Marlon's departure has left an indelible mark, and he will be deeply missed, remaining forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
