MELADY, FREDERICK ALOYSIUS III

MELADY, FREDERICK A. Frederick Aloysius Melady lll, 55, of Lake City, Florida and formerly of Belleplain, New Jersey passed away on May 11, 2023. Fred was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 7, 1967 to Frederick and Kathryn (Roddy) Melady. Fred grew up in Cape May, New Jersey. He graduated from Lower Cape May Regional High School where he met the love of his life, Wendy. Together they would spend the next 34 years building a life full of love and happiness in Belleplain, New Jersey and later retiring in Lake City, Florida. Fred had a love for all animals especially his fur babies Pepper and Oscar. Fred believed in working hard to enjoy his many hobbies including fishing, rafting, classic cars, horseback riding, traveling, and watching sports especially the Phillies and Eagles. Fred worked many years at Action Supply in New Jersey and after retirement didn't agree with him, he worked at Tractor Supply in Florida. He is preceded in death by his wife Wendy, where in heaven they have been reunited. He is also preceded in death by his father and favorite fishing partner, Pop, Frederick Melady Jr and sister Kelli (Melady) Kircher. Fred is survived by his mother Kathryn Melady, his father-in-law Charles Elwell (Joyce), mother-in-law, Carolyn Jannone, little brother Patrick Melady (Michelle), sister Kathleen Melady-Conway (Brian), along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Fred will be missed by many friends especially Eddie and Mike. Per Fred's wishes, no services have been scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3596 S. US HWY 441, Lake City, FL, 32025, 386-752-1954.
