McGRATH, JR., RAYMOND JAMES
Raymond James “Buddy” McGrath Jr. of Wildwood, NJ, passed away on September 6, 2024 at home.
Funeral services will be held at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church (2901 Atlantic Avenue, Wildwood) on September 11th with visitation starting at 10am with mass following at 11am. Burial will follow at the Cape May County Veterans’ Cemetery.
Buddy was born in Philadelphia, PA to Dr. Raymond J. McGrath and Jane A. McGrath on June 25, 1941. He went to high school at West Catholic HS and graduated in 1958. He went on to earn a degree from Philadelphia Military College. Buddy went on to start 2 successful pizza shops in both Avalon and Cape May Court House starting in 1977 and retiring in 2005. He enjoyed golf, boating, bowling, darts, and playing cards.
Buddy is survived by his wife Patricia of Wildwood. Survivors: Children Raymond (Debbie), Joseph (Teresa), Sean (Colleen), and Patricia (Jumbo), sister Sue, grandchildren Michael, Brenden, Ryan, Lexi, Cade, Maura, Shane, Patrick and Megan. He is preceded in death by both his parents.
Memorial donations may be made to National Kidney Association.

THOMPSON, DAVID R. David Radcliffe Thompson, 89, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 3, 2024. David was born on May 17, 1935 in Elizabeth, N.J., to Harold and Lisbeth (Winkler) Thompson. David graduated from Dayton Regional High School in Springfield, N.J.
