Man Found Dead in Sea Isle City; No Cause Known

SEA ISLE CITY – A 49-year-old man was found dead off the roadway of Central Avenue, in Sea Isle City, with no cause of death being apparent.

The Sea Isle City Police Department received a 911 call on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 6:26 a.m., reporting the body of a man in the area of the 3700 block of Central Avenue. The caller indicated that the man was unresponsive. Police, along with members of Sea Isle City Emergency Medical Services, discovered the man without vital signs and no visual evidence of trauma. A forensic nurse from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office pronounced the man dead at approximately 7:31 a.m.

The victim’s name is not being released until family members can be notified.

The body has been taken to Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Officer to determine a cause of death. The investigation is active and ongoing.
