MAJOR, PATRICIA A

MAJOR, PATRICIA ANN Patricia Ann Major (Baldwin) age 84, passed away peacefully at her home in West Cape May, NJ on December 13, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on September 25, 1939 to William E. Baldwin and Frances Hurley Baldwin, Patsy grew up in Salem, NJ and graduated from Salem High School Class of 1958. She married the love of her life, Victor Major, from Alloway in 1958 and stayed happily married for 58 years until Victor's passing in 2017. After a lengthy career in the medical field, which she loved, Patsy embarked on a new venture in the hospitality business. She and Vic purchased the Fenwicke Pub in Tilbury, NJ in 1979 where many locals enjoyed gathering for the Annual Pig Roast. She owned and operated The Pub until 1994. Patsy and Vic owned a second home in West Cape May where they spent the majority of their time making lifelong friends. She loved spending her summer days on Broadway Beach where she could be seen crocheting afghans for all of her family to enjoy. When an opportunity presented itself to become the proud owners of Broadway Mobile Park in West Cape May, Patsy and Vic jumped at the chance. Patsy lived a very active life, from the Bowling Club, Jaycees, Crochet Club, Card Club, to Friday Night Dinner Club. She loved to dress in her latest leopard print and engage with her closest family and friends. Patsy loved dining out in Cape May County Restaurants! She also enjoyed traveling with Vic by her side. When at home, Patsy would spend hours in the kitchen perfecting her culinary skills. Whether it was an original new cake recipe, holiday treats, or her Southern fried tomatoes with tomato milk gravy, Patsy made sure that everyone at the table was in for a real treat. Patsy was as hilarious as she was beautiful; she had a way of bringing smiles to all those that knew her with her witty remarks and her funny facial expressions. Always eager to share her creative skills, she passed down countless family recipes and sewing skills to her children and grandchildren that will be cherished for generations to come. Patsy is predeceased by her parents; husband Victor; 4 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her brother Garry; loving children Andrea, Mark and Vicki; along with 6 grandchildren: 5 great-grandchildren ; several nieces & nephews. Patsy will be deeply missed by all.
