MAHONEY JR., CHARLES V.

MAHONEY JR., CHARLES V. Charles V. Mahoney, Jr, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family on September 18, 2023. He was 76. Charles was born on December 16, 1946 in Philadelphia to the late Charles V. Mahoney, Sr and the late Marie Mahoney (nee Mullen). He was the beloved husband of the late Linda Mahoney (nee Wahl) and the late Kathleen Mahoney (nee Carroll); father of Brian Mahoney and his wife Tara, Amy Mahoney, Lisa Riley and her husband Kevin, Rachel Walsh and her husband Collin, Daniel Klenicki, and the late Matthew Klenicki; grandfather of Eddie, Aidan, Shannon, Owen, Danny, Kevin, Brian, Shaun, Taylor, and Gracelyn; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a loving extended family. Charles was raised and educated in Philadelphia, a proud graduate of Northeast Catholic High School for Boys. He answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army, and received an Honorable Discharge upon completing tenure. During his working years, Charles was a salesman in the steel industry. In his free time, Charles was a dedicated family man, adored by his children and reveling in the time spent with his grandkids. Family and friends are invited to join in Charles' Life Celebration on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. until his Funeral Mass begins at 11:00 A.M. at St. Jerome's Parish Church, 8100 Colfax Street, Philadelphia. Interment will be private.
