MACALUSO, CAROL Carol Macaluso, 72, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 19 with family by her side. Born August 26, 1951 in Queens NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Davidovich) Kijek. Carol married the love of her life, Richard J. Macaluso on October 9, 1971. The two celebrated 52 years of marriage. They resided in Randolph NJ, Shrewsbury VT, San Marcos CA, and finally moved to Cape May Court House where they have resided for the last four years. Carol volunteered her time and talents for many organizations, including Habitat for Humanity of Cape May Court House. An avid gardener, she was a member of the Little Garden Club of Atlantic City and previously the Rutland County Master Gardeners. She also enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Cape May County Quilters Guild and South Shore Stitchers. Carol also enjoyed playing tennis, devouring books, and completing crossword puzzles. She founded her own book club, the Beach Babes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Kijek, Jr. Carol will forever be missed by her husband Richard; her three children Laura Macaluso Schultz and husband Kevin W. Schultz, Marie Glennon and husband Ray A. Glennon III, and Luis J. Macaluso and wife Amanda; and her two grandchildren Caroline Frances Schultz and Valentina Elena Macaluso.
