By Herald Staff

Cape May County Clerk Rita M. Rothberg administered the official oath of deputy county clerk to Patricia B. Mabry on Dec. 27 in the presence of family members, co-workers and friends.

Mabry, of Cape May Court House, began working at the county clerk’s office in 1987 part time while she was attending Middle Township High School.  Upon graduation she was hired full time, working in many capacities and leadership roles, the most recent being that of chief clerk over customer reception, document processing and passport applicant services.

She earned an A.A. from Eastern Gateway Community College and has completed the requirements for the certified public manager designation through the New Jersey Civil Service Commission and Rutgers University-Newark School of Public Affairs and Administration. Following the oath ceremony Bishop Edgard D. Robinson, Jr. of Christ Gospel Church offered a blessing.
