LORANGER, GEOFFREY D.

LORANGER, GEOFFREY D. Geoffrey David Loranger ("Geoff") of Villas, NJ, passed away on February 11, 2024, after many years of kidney disease. He was 61 years old and is now at peace. He was born in Drexel Hill, PA and grew up there and in Plymouth, MI. He moved to Cape May, NJ in 1987. Geoff is survived by his mother Pat Loranger, brother Rich Loranger, sisters Suzanne Bleck (Rob) and Leigh Loranger (Jeff Schroeter), two nieces Katie Morris (Darrin) and Emily Bleck, as well as two great nephews, Isaiah and Brixton. He was pred-eceased by his father Richard "Dick" Loranger. He is also survived by his cats Sweetie, Bro, and Winky. He was an exceptional cat dad, having had a total of ten cats over the years, each of whom received tons of love and attention daily. Geoff had a great love for music and had a tremendous singing voice. In high school he performed in musical theater productions. When he lived in Cape May he was a member of the Cape Harmonaires for several years. He also wrote and recorded dozens of his own songs with local musicians under the name "Tornado Elvis Flame," which speaks of his love for Elvis Presley, whose songs he could sing with perfect pitch. Geoff grew up playing hockey, football, basketball, and baseball. Because sports were always part of his life, he naturally became a passionate fan of all of the Philadelphia sports teams. A highlight for his 50th birthday was sitting courtside at a 76ers game. Family and friends will be received on Sunday (Feb. 18th) from 10:30am until 11am in the Spilker Funeral Home, Cape May where Geoff's celebration of life ceremony will follow and begin at 11am in the form of family and friends sharing thoughts, memories and sentiments. Geoff's family asks that you consider making a donation to Animal Outreach, 600 Park Blvd. #3, West Cape May, NJ 08204 in his name.
