WILDWOOD – The Wildwood High School girls’ basketball team will be seeing a familiar face as the new head coach this upcoming season.
The Wildwood Board of Education announced Nov. 15 that longtime assistant coach Teresa Cunniff will take over for Dave Troiano, who officially stepped down in October. She coached alongside Troiano for the past 21 seasons.
Cunniff, a 1991 Wildwood graduate, was a standout point guard for the Warriors and was apart of Troiano’s first championship team that year.
Last season, the Lady Warriors went 24-5 and earned the school’s ninth South Jersey Group I championship.
Wildwood will open up their season on Dec. 15 at Clearview Regional.
