WILDWOOD – The South Jersey Wrestling Association presents the 7th Annual “War at the Jersey Shore” National Folkstyle Wrestling Championships in the Oceanfront Arena at the Wildwoods Convention Center on Friday, April 2 and Saturday, April 3.
This event will feature a youth wrestling tournament with 50 weight classes spread across four age divisions and a high school division with 16 weight classes.
Last year’s event attracted more than 1,500 wrestlers representing 15 states. The 2010 “War at the Jersey Shore” will feature expanded wrestling hours, a new mat layout for additional seating, and split sessions on both Friday and Saturday.
Competitions begin at 8 a.m. daily. Live electronic boards will be available online to follow the tournament over the internet. Awards will be presented immediately after completion of wrestling in each bracket and certification of results.
Daily ticket prices for the tournament are $10 for adults, $5 for children six years and older, and children under six years old are FREE.
