In girls basketball action from Jan. 26, Middle Township hosted Wildwood Catholic and won, 51-43. Freshman Kate Herlihy led the Lady Panthers with 20 points while sophomore teammate Kira Sides added 17 points for the hosts. For the visiting Lady Crusaders, freshman Marianna Papazoglou scored a game-high 30 points.
On the boys side, Wildwood Catholic hosted Middle Township and won, 73-51. Caleb Fields led the hosts with 21 points while Taj Thweatt adding 19 points for the Crusaders.
Cape May Tech girls won big at home, 36-29, against Buena Regional on Jan. 26. Liza Pellini led the Lady Hawks with 14 points and Danielle DeRitis added 10 points for the hosts.
The Cape May Tech boys also won over the weekend, 82-34, at Vineland Prep. Four Hawks were in double figures with Josh Wright leading the way with 19 points and Jack O’Donnell close behind with 17 points.
The Middle Township boys earned a 54-35 road win at Oakcrest on Jan. 27. Coley Holton led all scorers with 24 points with Mack Selby added 11 points for the visiting Panthers.
