Wins from the Week: May 3-7

The Middle Township boys’ tennis team remains unbeaten this season at 17-0 with recent 5-0 wins against Buena Regional, Egg Harbor Township and Holy Spirit.
Baseball:
Ocean City blanked Lower Cape May, 7-0, at home on May 3. AJ Campbell allowed one hit as pitcher and had nine strikeouts for the Red Raiders.
Cape May Tech won 9-4 on the road at rival Lower Cape May on May 4. Cooper Gerhing led the Hawks with three hits and three runs scored.
Ocean City won 10-2 against Absegami in May 5 action. Pitcher Dan Nunan had eight strike outs to go along with an RBI double and a homerun for the Red Raiders.
Lower Cape May won 5-3 on the road at Vineland on May 7. The Caper Tigers scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning to secure the win. Dave MacDonald earned the victory on the mound.
Middle Township shutout Bridgeton at home, 15-0, on May 7. Aaron Garcia and Drew Harris each had four RBIs for the Panthers.
Softball:
Wildwood Catholic shutout Pleasantville, 17-0, on the road on May 3. Anna Mae Peterson had five RBIs for the Crusaders.
Ocean City won 16-6 on the road at Lower Cape May on May 3.
On May 4, the Red Raiders won 9-7 against Highland Regional. Abby Caige hit a three-run homerun for Ocean City.
Middle Township won 14-8 over Timber Creek on May 6. Paige Fox had two doubles and four runs scored while Grace Fox and Kayla Cubernot each had three RBIs and two runs scored. Lacey Abrego earned the win as pitcher with seven strike-outs.
Ocean City won 9-1 on the road at Cape May Tech on May 7. Jacki Nesi hit a grand slam for the Red Raiders.
Golf:
Lower Cape May won 186-188 against Cape May Tech on May 3. Kolby Carter shot a 42 at the par-36 course for the Caper Tigers. Scotty Wiltshire shot a match-low 37 for the Hawks.
Ocean City won 162-180 against Egg Harbor Township on May 4 at the par-35 Greate Bay Country Club. Jack Sullivan shot a 39 for the Red Raiders.
Middle Township won 170-205 against Wildwood Catholic at the Avalon Country Club. Andrew Kapp and PJ Schulte each shot had a birdie and shot a 41 at the par-36 course for the Panthers.
Cape May Tech won 196-205 against Oakcrest on May 7. Scotty Wiltshire hit a 44 for the Hawks.
Wildwood Catholic won 210-225 at Buena Regional on May 7. Kesami Hitaffer and Matt Vogdes each shot a team low 46 for the Crusaders.
Middle Township remains undefeated at 13-0 with a 174-184 win over Lower Cape May on May 7. PJ Schulte and Andrew Kapp each shot a 43 for the Panthers. Kolby Carter and Jack Perry also shot a 43 for the visiting Caper Tigers.
Boys Lacrosse:
Ocean City earned two big wins over the weekend starting with a 17-1 win against Atlantic City on May 4. Jack Schneider led the team with three goals.
Schneider, Trent Laveson and Noam Levy-Smith each had a hat trick in the team’s 13-8 win on May 5 against Johnson. Charlie Dahl had ten saves for the Red Raiders in net.
Lower Cape May edged Moorestown Friends, 15-14, on the road on May 7. The Caper Tigers outscored the hosts 5-2 in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
Girls Lacrosse:
Lower Cape May sophomore Maya Critchfield scored her 100th career goal in the team’s 15-3 win over Cedar Creek on May 4. Critchfield had five goals while teammate Marissa Giancola added six in the win.
Middle Township topped Egg Harbor Township on May 4 with a 18-7 home win. Kira Sides led all scorers with nine goals for the Panthers. Maggie Slavin made nine stops in net.
Ocean City won 18-4 against Atlantic City on May 4. Danielle Donoghue, Ashley Devlin and Ali Hendricks each had a hat trick in the win for the Red Raiders.
On May 5, the Red Raiders earned a nice 14-11 win over West Deptford. Emily DiMarino had six goals for Ocean City.
Middle Township won 18-8 at home to Holy Spirit on May 7. Kira Sides led the Panthers with seven goals while Maddie Barber added three goals with seven assists.
