Wildwood High School to Honor Dave Troiano

Wildwood High School will be honoring the legendary Coach Dave Troiano during a ceremony that will take place between a Warrior and Lady Warrior Double Header Basketball Game. Coach Troiano retired in October before he would have begun his 40th Season as Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach.
During his career, Coach Troiano amassed a 682-326 win versus loss record.
He was the fourth Girls Basketball Coach in New Jersey History to coach in at least 1,000 career games. Under his leadership, the Lady Warriors Basketball Program has won 14 Cape Atlantic and Tri County Division and Conference Titles. His teams were 9-2 in South Jersey Group 1 Sectional Games with the first title coming in 1986 and the last coming in his final season, 2017. Wildwood appeared in six NJSIAA State Championship games, going 4-2, and winning in 1991, 2000, 2001, and 2002.
The ceremony to honor Coach Troiano’s incredible career and impact on the Warrior Nation will take place on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 after the Lady Warriors take on Pennsville Memorial High School at 4pm and before the Warriors Varsity and JV get their turn against Pennsville at 5:30 and 7pm .
There will be a gathering with refreshments in the Wildwood High School’s Cafeteria immediately following the Ceremony.
