Wildwood Catholic Softball Parade

NORTH WILDWOOD – The Wildwood Catholic High School softball team was welcomed home with a parade around the Wildwoods after winning their first ever South Jersey Non-Public B group title on June 1. The Lady Crusaders defeated Mater Dei, 12-2, at Stockton University for the final game.
Winning pitcher Emily Cimino had five strikeouts, went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Lone senior Casey Manera had two doubles, three runs scored and three RBIs. Anna Mae Peterson added three hits with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs. Sophomore Mercedes Rivera broke the school record with 49 stolen bases.
The Lady Crusaders (18-5) will face Lodi Immaculate for the Non-Public B state title at 2:30 pm on June 4 at Kean University.
