Darion Lamar

By Steph Cella

Three area high school football teams will take the field on Nov. 23 for annual Turkey Day action.
Anchor Bowl: Middle Township (4-5) at Lower Cape May (1-8)
When these two teams met in Cape May Court House last Thanksgiving, Middle Township won 58-7 for their fifth straight Anchor Bowl title.
The Panthers lead the series, 13-8, since the start back in 1996 and have a 59-36-5 overall record with the Caper Tigers.
This year, the 101st meeting of the two rivals will take place at the home of the Caper Tigers in Erma. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m.
Pleasantville (7-2) at Ocean City (6-3)
Last year, Ocean City won the annual match-up of the two programs, 24-8, in Pleasantville. Both teams had tremendous seasons and made appearances in playoffs.
The Red Raiders lead the series 49-41-6 against the Greyhounds.
The game will be taking place at Carey Stadium in Ocean City this year. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 a.m.
Highlights for these games can be found in Nov. 28’s episode of Under Review with Pete Thompson.
