CAPE MAY — The A .J. Meerwald will leave Cape May soon. Sail from Utsch’s Marina this weekend, from Cape May to Bivalve on Sunday, or on the Maurice River on Labor Day.
Sailing from Utsch’s Marina in Cape May:
Fri., Sept. 3 at 1:30 and 5 p.m.
Sat., Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Sun., Sept. 5 Farewell Sail at 11:30 a.m.
All sails offer opportunities to learn about the ship and participate in hauling lines and hoisting sails. Passengers are welcome to bring food and beverages aboard if they wish.
Sailing from Cape May to Bivalve:
Navigation Skills Transit Sail – Sun., Sept. 5 from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m.
For a true nautical adventure, join the Meerwald for a five-hour sail up the Delaware Bay to her home port in Bivalve NJ on the Maurice River. Bring along a picnic dinner and enjoy sunset on the Bay, lighthouses, wildlife and more!
A great opportunity for outdoor photographers or for those who want to hone their sailing and navigation skills. Departs from Utsch’s Marina at 2:30 and travels to Bivalve in Cumberland County. Return transportation is not included.
