Street Rods to Come to Ocean City

OCEAN CITY — Street Rod owners from throughout the east will display more than 200 of their colorful vehicles during the 36th annual Shore Rod Run here.
A Street Rod is any car manufactured prior to 1964 that has been modified with more modern parts. Owners are creative and often enhance their vehicles with unusual painted designs.
Cars will be parked at the Sports and Civic Center, Sixth Street off Boardwalk, from noon Sept. 10 until 1 p.m., Sept., 12. There will be a boardwalk display of vehicles, Sat., Sept.11, from noon until 4 p.m.
A fashion show is set for Sept. 11 at 1:30 p.m. inside the Music Pier Auditorium, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace, featuring clothing from Gabrielle’s of Ocean City. Admission is free. The event is open to all.
The fabulous Grease Band will entertain at the Pier Sept.11 at 8 p.m. The Grease Band plays the hits of the 50’s through 90’s. Admission is $20, the public is invited.
