STRATHMERE – The Upper Township Beach Patrol is holding their Strathmere Ocean Kayak Festival on the beach in Strathmere, NJ on Saturday, August 13 beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Festival is a racing event and Expo; with ocean kayak races, demonstrations and supplied instruction. A Stand-Up Paddle Board race will also take place.
Spectators, beginners and competitors are invited to spend a day on the beach. Race entry fee, with t-shirt, is $20. Event admission is FREE, and all equipment will be supplied FREE for both the instruction sessions and races, compliments of Harbor Outfitters. The event will take place on the beach in Strathmere at Williams Avenue. Silent auction and award ceremony will immediately follow. It’s guaranteed to be a fun day on the beach.
