Special Olympics Seeks Volunteers for Wildwood Events

WILDWOOD – Special Olympics New Jersey will conduct its annual Spring Sports Festival Sat., March 31 and Sun., April 1. Volunteers are needed for basketball at various venues in the Wildwood area, including the Wildwoods Convention Center.
Assignments range from bench assistants and scorekeepers to announcers, timers, and awards.
Volunteers must register online at www.sonj.org under “Volunteer.” The online system allows volunteers to view available positions and sign up for the shift(s) they are interested in. Basketball positions are for volunteers ages 16 and above.
Special Olympics New Jersey provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for more than 22,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
