CAPE MAY—The 2010 Atlantic Cape Community College Scramble ‘Fore’ Scholarships golf tournament will feature a $1 million hole-in-one shoot-out, Fri, Oct. 15, at the Cape May National Golf Club in Cape May.
The tournament will follow a scramble format with a shotgun-start at 11 a.m. After the scramble portion is complete, five qualifying golfers will advance to the shootout for their chance to win a $1 million annuity.
Partnering with the Atlantic Cape Foundation, CMNGC will host the annual tournament to raise scholarship money and commemorate the five-year anniversary of the college’s Cape May County Campus.
Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City will cater the awards dinner, 5:30-9:30 p.m., hosted by the Chalfonte Hotel in Cape May. Dessert will be prepared by students at Atlantic Cape’s Academy of Culinary Arts. The awards dinner will also serve as the capstone event of a week-long celebration of the five-year anniversary of CMCC.
Player fees, which include gift bags, lunch and a dinner awards banquet, are $125 per person and $500 per foursome.
Individuals and businesses can also participate in six sponsorship package opportunities ranging from $100 to $5,000. Last year’s event raised $29,000 for Atlantic Cape scholarships.
