WILDWOOD — If you love the smell of leather, prefer two wheels to four or just like to have a great time, the Wildwoods are the place to be Thurs., Sept. 9 through Sun., Sept. 12, during the 15th annual Roar to the Shore Motorcycle Rally.
The Wildwoods’ Roar to the Shore 2010 promises to provide non-stop excitement from start to finish. By bringing in official sponsors including Cape Classics M/C, Budweiser, Jack Daniels, Rider Insurance, Wildwood Cycles, Atlantic County Harley Davidson, the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority and Stark & Stark Attorneys-at-Law – this year’s rally will offer something for everyone.
Vendor areas containing hundreds of top-of-the-line merchants will open daily at 9 a.m. offering everything from pin-striping for your bike, souvenirs and new leather, to eye protection and fine cigars. Merchants will be spread across five separate vending areas, located at the Wildwoods Convention Center’s parking lots and all along Oak and Atlantic Avenues in downtown Wildwood.
Vending areas will also feature demo rides on the Yamaha Cruiser Models from Yamaha Motor Corp., and the three-wheeled Can-Am Spyder Roadsters; as well as tours of the Jack Daniels Experience – a mobile Jack Daniels Museum.
Roar to the Shore 2010 will also feature live musical entertainment from Kathouse – an all-female rock cover band. Kathouse will perform on Sat., Sept. 11 from noon-4 p.m. at the vendor areas at the Wildwoods Convention Center’s parking lots. More entertainment will be announced in the coming weeks.
The first Wildwood Tattoo Beach Bash will be held in conjunction with Roar to the Shore, from Fri., Sept. 10 through Sun., Sept. 12, inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. The ‘bash’ is set to host major national tattoo artists, art exhibits, contests, and daily performances from the Lucky Daredevil Thrill Show – a fast-paced and funny, death-defying daredevil stunt spectacular with the glitter, glamour and gut-wrenching thrills of a Vegas show.
Whether you’re a Harley rider through and through, a rider that prefers a sleeker bike with more speed, or a motorcycle enthusiast that only rides on the weekends – the Roar to the Shore 2010 Motorcycle Rally is not to be missed.
