CAPE MAY – Under sunny skies and on a fast course, 184 runners took to the street for the 30th Annual Cape May Beachfront Run on Sept. 21. For the 5-mile course, Dean Smith took first place men’s at 29:20 and Marina Shabelskaya took first place women’s at 37:44. For the 2-mile course, Noah Gomersall took men’s first place at 12:06 and Quinn Bithell took women’s first place 14:14.
The award for Cape May City Employee went to Michael Laskodi at 44:39 and the 1st-place team award went to the NJ Shore Run team of Mike Mader, Steve Antczak, Bill McArthur, Joe Link and Sean Smith
Event sponsors included Uncle Bill’s Pancake House, Montreal Inn & Harry’s Bar and Grille, Ocean Bar and Grille, La Mer Beachfront Inn, Ocean Club Hotel, Capri Inn, the Kiwanis Club of Cape May, and Marsh and McLennan. Water stations were sponsored by the Henry Sawyer Inn, the Washington Inn, and Cabanas Bar and Grill.
