NORTH WILDWOOD – July 19, the Mid-Atlantic Police and Fire 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk will take place in North Wildwood. The purpose of this event is to honor fallen police and fire officers.
If you’re running or walking, register in at First and Olde New Jersey avenues beginning at 7:45 a.m. If you’re cheering the athletes on, bring a beach chair and pick a place along the route. Start time is 9 a.m.
The route begins at First and Olde New Jersey avenues, proceeds east to Spruce and turns right onto the Spruce/Central avenue curve. It turns left at First and Central towards Surf, takes a right onto Surf, and then heads to Second and JFK. At 5th Avenue, it takes the beach access path to 15th. Then it turns around and heads back the same route.
It’s a fun event for a good cause. Come out and support them!
