OCEAN CITY—The NSSA Northeast Region High School Surfing Championships sanctioned by the National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) sponsored by Spy Optics was held and hosted On Nov. 3 on First Street in Ocean City. The region’s best competed in 2-4 foot surf, a day-long event braving the wind and cold temperatures. It was an extraordinary exhibition of the Northeast’s best high school surfing athletes.
High Schools participating were Saint Augustine Prep, Manasquan, Southern Regional, Holy Spirit, Mainland, Ocean City, Middle Township, Long Beach NY and Atlantic City.
St Augustine Prep took First place, Manasquan Second and Ocean City Third.
