OCEAN CITY – The Ocean City Nor’easters open up their 15th season beaming with optimism as one of the best PDL clubs in North America will field another strong roster in 2011.
Despite suffering their first losing season in club history last year (5-6-5), the Nor’easters still remain the team with the fourth best overall record (72-31-29) in the PDL since they joined the league in 2003. Their record at home is also among the best, ranking fourth since 2003 at 41-12-14.
Neil Holloway, the club’s head coach and general manager, who enters his fifth season in charge of the team (2005-06, 2009-10, 32-17-15 regular season record), has 15 players who either return to the team from last year or have played for Ocean City FC in the past. He has also added a number of young, talented players from the region, as well as a few international players.
