Cape May County Football Results:
In Friday night action, Ocean City won their third straight game, 47-8, on the road at county rival Middle Township.
Senior quarterback Harry Pfeifle proved to be a dominate force on the field for the Red Raiders by scoring three touchdowns in the game. Tommy Meehan scored off a 44-yard interception in the second quarter and Liam Bergman added a 62-yard touchdown run a few possessions later. Issac Robertson and Brandyn Pokrass scored in the second half of the game for the visitors.
Cody Kern scored the lone touchdown for the Panthers in the fourth quarter off a 21-yard pass from quarterback Cameron Hamer.
Ocean City is now 4-1 and will host rival Mainland Reg. (1-4) on Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Carey Stadium.
Middle Township drops to 3-4 and will have two weeks off. They will return to action on Nov. 3 when they host Pleasantville.
Lower Cape May fell at home to Oakcrest, 26-15, on Oct. 13. Quarterback Brennan Ray scored a touchdown in the third quarter while Tony Kapurelos added a touchdown in the fourth for the Caper Tigers. They will head up to Pleasantville (4-1) on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Wildwood was shutout 51-0 on the road at Pleasantville on Oct. 13. The Warriors are off this week and will return to action on Oct. 28 at Maple Shade.
