OCEAN VIEW – The second annual Cape May County High School Golf Championships were held April 24 at the Shore Gate Golf Club. Teams from Cape May Tech, Lower Cape May, Middle Township, Ocean City, Wildwood Catholic and Wildwood sent their top five golfers to compete in tough conditions at the par 72 course.
The Ocean City golf team dominated the tournament, having their golfers place in the top 3 and winning the overall title for the second year.
Matt Blaker won the 2018 individual title with teammates Jack Sullivan and Isaac Royster placing second and third, respectively. Royster won the title last year.
Chris Porto of Cape May Tech, PJ Schulte and Vincent Lamanna of Middle Township, Kolby Carter and Joe Baker of Lower Cape May, Taylor Ohntrup of Wildwood Catholic and Robert Little of Wildwood were the top finishers from their schools.
