WILDWOOD — New Jersey Thunder Motorsports Inc. brings the thrill and exhilaration of Monster Truck Racing to the Wildwoods Fri., Oct. 1 through Sun., Oct. 3, with the Thunder on the Beach Monster Truck Races and Monster Truck Block Party.
The weekend kicks off with a free Monster Truck Block Party on Friday, from 6-9:30 p.m. at Scoop Taylor Park, located at Heather and Ocean Avenues in Wildwood Crest. The event will feature food and shopping vendors, along with meet-and-greets with the monster truck drivers and the chance to see the weekend’s impressive Monster Trucks up close.
Monster Truck Rides on the beach will also be available during the Block Party for those who want to get even closer to the action. Monster Truck Ride tickets will be half price on Fri., Oct. 1.
On Sat., Oct. 2, the Thunder on the Beach competition begins and continues through Sun., Oct. 3, at Lincoln Avenue and the Beach, where the country’s biggest trucks (Grave Digger, Spiderman, Avenger, Brutus, Crustation, Gunslinger, Bad Habit and Megasaurus) will square off on a custom beach race course for their chance to win the title of “King of the Beach.”
Three action-packed shows will take place, rain or shine, to determine the winner. The shows will also include Quad Wars, a Tough Truck Competition and amazing stunts.
Saturday’s competitions begin at noon and 7 p.m., and Sunday’s competitions start at noon.
