The Middle Township High School boys tennis team won the South Jersey Group I title in May 21’s 4-1 victory over Woodstown. The Panthers are currently unbeaten at 23-0, winning many of their matches 5-0.
Singles players Max Gilbert, Rob Giulian and Teran Broadnax swept their opponents while first doubles team players Brayden Carr and Tathya Modi won their match.
The Panthers will play Central Group I winner Highland Park on May 23 in West Windsor Township in the state semifinal. The winner of that match will play in the title game following the match.

The Middle Township baseball team, ranked eleven in S.J. Group II, upset sixth-seeded Manchester Township on May 21, 6-4, to move on to the next round. The win also marked longtime head coach Chuck Dougherty’s 300th career win. The Panthers will travel to third-seeded Delran on May 24.
Also in S.J. Group II, Lower Cape May fell 2-0 at top-ranked West Deptford.
In S.J. Group I, Cape May Tech, ranked thirteenth, fell in a close 4-3 game against No. 4 Schalick.
No. 2 Ocean City hosted No. 15 Delsea on May 22 in the South Jersey Group III bracket. (Results too late for this edition)
No. 14 Wildwood Catholic will begin their post-season in Non-Public South B on May 24 at No. 3 St. Rose.
In S.J. Group II softball, No. 11 Middle Township fell to No. 6 Haddon Heights, 10-9, on May 21. No. 15 Lower Cape May fell 10-0 at No. 2 West Deptford.
Top-ranked Wildwood Catholic earned a bye in the first round and will host No. 9 Holy Spirit in the quarterfinals of the Non-Public South B tournament on May 24.
The Middle Township girls lacrosse team fell 12-6 at Camden Catholic on May 21 in the S.J. Group II semifinals.
The Ocean City boys lacrosse team fell 8-6 to Somerville on May 19 in the quarterfinals of S.J. Group II.
