Middle, O.C. Girls Lax Advances to Semis

COURT HOUSE – The Middle Township High School girls lacrosse team earned a spot in the South Jersey Group II semifinal round after a home win against rival Lower Cape May on May 17.
The Lady Panthers, seeded third, won 21-10, over the sixth-seeded Lady Tigers at Memorial Field. The game was back and forth early in the first half with the home team leading 10-6 going into second half. Middle kept up the scoring to secure the victory.
Kira Sides led all scorers with eight goals and four assists for the Lady Panthers. Maddie Barber led the team with nine assists to go along with four goals. Aubrey Hunter added three goals.
For the visiting Lady Tigers, Maya Critchfield had five goals. Goalie Mel Amador had 22 saves in net. Lower Cape May finishes their season at 10-9 overall.
Middle, now 15-4, will face No. 2 Camden Catholic on May 21 in the semifinals.

The Ocean City High School girls lacrosse team won 17-4 at home to Central Regional in the quarterfinal round of South Jersey Group III. The Red Raiders, ranked second, earned a first round bye and home field advantage. They will host the winner of No. 6 Cherry Hill West/No. 3 Seneca on May 22.
