Middle Baseball/Softball Association Reports Little League Scores

COURT HOUSE — The Middle Township Baseball Softball Association reported results for the Middle Township LIttle League. They are:
Majors Softball –
Middle Black 14, Woodbine 4
Laura Lombardelli was had a fantastic performance in the mound, pitching 4 innings and zero walks; Emma Carlson hit the team’s first home run of the season; Kelly Geary made key catches at 1st to close out Woodbine’s at bats.
Middle Black 27, Dennis 2
Middle Township’s strong bats proved too much for Dennis Twp in a 27 – 2 victory on Thursday in Dennis Twp. Kelly Geary went 5 for 5 at bats. Sophia Ellis had a triple; Kathryn Gimeno, Krista Salvadore, and Emma Carlson all had 2 doubles. Strong defensive play by Middle ensured the victory. Laura Lombardelli had a strong performance as the closing pitcher.
Middle Orange 16 v Dennis 17
Alexis Skidmore pitched a sold game with 2 strikeouts. Alyssa Sittineri went 5 for 5 with 4 RBI.
Middle Orange15, Woodbine 4
Alyssa Sittineri pitched, with 8 strikeouts and went 5 for 5 at bat with 4 RBI. Grace McGinley went 3 for 5 with a stand up double and 3 RBI. Alexis Skidmore went 3 for 5 with 4 RBI.
Middle Orange 16 Middle Black 14
Alexis Skidmore pitched, with 3 strikeouts and 4 for 4 at bat. Alyssa Sittineri went 5 for 5 at bat with a stand up double and 4 RBI. Kayla Cubernot went 4 for 5 at bat. Lilli Schaffer went 3 for 5 and played first with great plays. Corrine Errico made a game saving catch in right field.
Middle Orange12 v Upper Warriors14
Grace McGinley pitched 3 innings with 3 strikeouts and Alix Skidmore finished game with 2 strikeouts. Kayla Cubernot and Alyssa Sittineri both went 2 for 3 at bat. With several RBI. Grace McGinley hit a double.
Middle Black 9 Upper Warriors 20
Kathryn Gimeno hit a 3-run home run to keep team “Doublestuffed” in the game. Emma Carlson was solid behind the plate. Rachel Wade dropped a perfect bunt to get on base.
Middle Orange 28 vs Dennisville 3
Alyssa Sittineri pitched a 3 hit game, with 9 strikeouts. Alexis Skidmore, Gabby Toth, Maribeth Novsak and Mia Panzini all went 4 for 5 with loads of hits and RBI’s! Alyssa Sittineri, Lilli Schafer ( including a double) and Kayla Cubernot went 3 for 5. Super plays were made by all with outstanding defense!
Minors Baseball
opening day Bartleson (Orange) 6, Church (Blue) 3
Team orange came back from a 3 run first inning deficit to win 6-3. Kyle Bartleson had a two out, two strike base hit to knock in the winning runs. Strong pitching by Drew McClure and T.J Albano led to the win. Sean Dougherty pitched well in the defeat.
Bartleson (orange) 8, Salvo (Green) 5
Gregory Carroll pitched four innings of shutout baseball for the win. Orange turned two double plays in the field led by T.J. Albano and Carson Haas. David Salvo played a great game in the defeat.
Bartleson (orange) 9, Burner(maroon) 8
Cody Miller scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning by a two out two strike walk-off double by Kyle Bartleson. Steven Burner and Charlie Bethea had hits for Maroon.t
Bartleson (Orange) -13 Church(Blue)-2
Orange jumped out to an early lead and held off blue for a 13-2 win. Casey Burhanna led orange with three hits while pitchers Gregory Carroll, Kyle Bartleson, Riley Burhanna, Daniel Shuster, and T.J. Albano pitched. Sean Dougherty and Ben Church contributed for Blue.

Middle Gray 2, Middle Orange 1
For Middle Orange Ty Bethea had 16 strikeouts. Steve Harned drove in the tying run in the top of the 6th inning with an RBI single.
Middle Orange 5, Dennis Pirates 1
For Middle Orange Elliot Dingler pitched a complete game in getting the win, while Marc Conte had a two RBI triple in the 5th inning. Finn Ryan, Chris Delinski, and Kyle Eppright contributed with clutch singles during the fourth and fifth innings.
Middle Orange 5, Sea Isle City 1
For Middle Orange Kyle Eppright was the winning pitcher, hit a double, and was involved in two inning ending double plays. Steve Harned had 2 singles and two runs scored. Elliot Dingler had 2 singles while scoring once. Marc Conte and Ty Bethea also contributed with a single apiece.
Middle Orange 5, Dennisville A’s 4.
Middle rode the strong pitching of Kyle Eppright, Elliot Dingler (winning pitcher, and Steve Harned (save) to victory. Contributing with the bat were: Ty Bethea (triple and 2 RBI’s), Zachary Robbins (single; double; and game winning RBI) Elliot Dingler (triple), Marc Conte, Wyatt McCart, and Presley Braun all singles,with Presley Braun also scoring the eventual game-winning run.
Middle Orange 11, Woodbine 5
For Middle Orange Elliot Dingler was the winning pitcher, with strong pitching support from Ty Bethea and Kyle Eppright. Eppright also had a based loaded triple, while Presley Braun had a 2rbi double. Marc Conte had a single and double, Stephen Harned doubled, while Dingler, Bethea, and Zachary Robbins contributed to the attack with singles. For Orange, Dingler, Robbins, and Bethea all scored twice, with Conte, Harned, Eppright, Wyatt McCart, and Chris Delinski scoring once.
Juniors Baseball

Steven Hand & Erik Arenberg pitched in the win. Corey Daniels had 3 hits.

Girls Senior League Scores
Dennis 15 Middle 5
Underneath the lights on the opening game of the 2011 season, spectators saw a pitchers duel for the first three innings. Middle catcher Taylor Franchville threw out 3 base stealers and was strong behind the plate as Middle came up short in the loss.
Upper 7 Middle 10
Pitchers Lindsay Miller and Samantha Gerhard combined for 8 strikeouts as Middle bested Upper.
Jessica Lawther and Sarah McInnis both went 2 for 3 for Middle.
