VILLAS – Packed schedules of summer camps are available at the Lower Township Recreation Department.
This weekend, SJ Excel Football Camp wrapped up its sessions with coaches from the members of the Rowan University football team. High school athletes were instructed in proper techniques and skills to increase their understanding and ability in the game of football in a fun and high energy setting.
The youth camp was for children going into first grade through eighth grade. The program was dedicated to improving all players, especially those starting out in the sport, and help them gain future success.
The Caper Tiger Basketball Camp entered its 23rd year. Pat Holden, who has been involved in basketball for over 40 years as both a player and a coach, and his staff say the goal of the camp is to provide a great experience and deliver quality instruction at an affordable price.
The camp features individual development, enhanced skills, techniques to use when practicing, self-confidence and what Holden calls a motivating attitude toward basketball.
