Local High School Alumni Compete on College Teams

Chase Mendyk (Lower Cape May High School) is on the roster as a freshman who plays attack for the Stockton University men’s lacrosse squad this spring. Mendyk competed in six of the first 19 games this season for Stockton. He had six goals and two assists during that span.
Through 19 games, the Ospreys had an overall record of 17-2 and they were 10-1 on their home field. In the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) they were 9-0. They hosted and won the CSAC Tournament with victories over Bryn Athyn and Montclair State University. Stockton is scheduled to next participate in the NCAA Tournament.
Let’s take a glance at other local student athletes who are competing in men’s sports at the collegiate level this spring season:  
Charles Wolef-Fields (Cape May County Court House, Wildwood Catholic High School) is on the roster as a freshman sprinter for the Georgian Court University men’s outdoor track and field program this year.
The Lions hosted and won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Outdoor Championship Meet in Lakewood on May 5.
Josh Rolls (Ocean City High School) is a freshman sprinter for the Stockton University men’s outdoor track and field team this year. Rolls won the 100 for Stockton at the Bill Butler Invitational on April 6 hosted by West Chester University in West Chester, Pa. At both the Bill Butler Invitational and the Stockton Invitational (held on March 23), he was part of the winning 4 by 100 relay team.
The Ospreys placed second in the team scoring at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet held at G. Larry James Stadium in Galloway. They are scheduled to compete in the Atlantic Region Championships on May 15 and May 16 in Cortland, New York.
Korey Greene (Ocean City High School) is on the roster as a freshman distance runner for the Rowan University men’s outdoor track and field program this year. Greene had a personal best time of 10:08.65 in the 3,000 at the Coach Pollard Invitational held on April 12 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
The Profs captured the team crown at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Track Field Championship Meet in Galloway. They are scheduled to take part in the All Atlantic Conference Track and Field Championships on May 15 and May 16 in Cortland, New York.
