Irish Weekend Baseball Event Set in Wildwood

WILDWOOD — The 2010 champion Philadelphia police Blue Sox will face the New York City correction officers in a baseball fundraiser 12:30 p.m. Sat., Sept. 25 at Maxwell Field, 4000 Park Blvd., home of the Wildwood High School Warriors.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, Washington, D.C.
The Blue Sox are the 2010 champions of the New Jersey Independent (mens) Baseball League.
This is a semi-pro baseball league consisting of 20 teams, some of whom have a law enforcement affiliation.
This promises to be an exciting contest between two experienced teams during a popular weekend at the Jersey Shore.
