High School Scores: Wildwood’s Irwin, Lower’s Gibson Set Soccer Scoring Records

In Oct. 13 field hockey, Ocean City whipped Camden Catholic, 7-0. Lauren McNally and Kate Blumberg scored twice.
In girls’ soccer, Audubon defeated Middle, 5-1. Abby Stahler scored.
In Oct. 14 boys’ soccer, Gloucester Catholic outscored Wildwood, 8-5. Jared Irwin pounded home all five goals.
Wildwood Catholic edged Lower, 1-0. Pat McGann scored.
In girls’ soccer, Lower routed Wildwood Catholic, 9-2. Madie Gibson scored three times, including her Caper record-breaking 113th score. Mike Gavin held the mark at 111.
Middle edged Oakcrest, 1-0. Catherine Gemeno scored.
Clayton outscored Wildwood, 6-1. Mackenzie McCracken scored.
In Oct. 15 field hockey, Middle upended St. Joe, 4-0. Jenna Herlihy scored all four goals.
OC won the CAL American with an 8-0 win over Millville. Jordan Allegretto scored a hat trick.
In boys’ soccer, Ocean City defeated St. Augustine, 2-1, in double overtime. Aaron King scored the game-winner.
In Oct. 16 girls’ soccer, Middle and Lower battled to a 1-1 tie. Madie Gibson scored. Allison Hunter netted the Panther goal.
In boys’ soccer, Middle whipped Lower, 7-1. Joe Fala scored twice. Alex Pruszinski scored for Lower.
In field hockey, Buena downed Cape Tech, 6-0.
Cedar Creek topped Catholic, 3-2. Caitlin McMullan and Noelle Johnson scored.
In Oct. 17 football, Palmyra defeated Wildwood, 51-12. Abdiel Richards and James Grauel scored touchdowns.
Bridgeton defeated Lower, 43-0.
Millville toppled Ocean City, 49-10.
In field hockey, Ocean City whipped Oakcrest, 10-0. Julia Herrington scored a hat trick.
Middle downed Holy Spirit, 5-1. Jenna Herlihy and Honna Hippen scored two goals each.
Lower shut down Bridgeton, 1-0. Kat Swan scored.
In boys’ soccer, Jared Irwin set Wildwood’s career scoring record in the Warriors’ 2-1 victory over Salem. Irwin’s 46th goal combined with Valentine Rodriguez’s score for the victory. Wildwood coach Steve DeHorsey held the record.
Ocean City defeated Bridgeton, 7-0. Jimmy Flukey scored twice.
Wildwood Catholic edged Cedar Creek, 1-0. Jared Wallace scored.
In girls’ soccer, Washington Township handed Lower its first loss, 2-0.
Moorestown nipped Ocean City, 1-0, in double overtime.
Salem defeated Wildwood, 4-1. Michelle Lugo scored.
