Baseball:
On May 16, Lower Cape May won 14-9 at Cape May Tech. Mike Downes had four hits for the Caper Tigers. Ocean City won 8-0 at home against Holy Spirit. Winning pitcher Josh Arnold struck out ten for the Red Raiders. Wildwood hosted rival Wildwood Catholic and won, 11-1. Andrew Mormile, Chris Mormile and Carlos Santiago each had two hits for the Warriors. Middle Township fell 13-4 at St. Joseph. Jarrett Langrel hit a home run for the Panthers.
On May 18, Middle Township won 17-2 at Bridgeton. Lower Cape May hosted a double header featuring Holy Spirit and Wildwood. The Caper Tigers split the series winning 5-4 against Holy Spirit and falling 6-4 against Wildwood.
On May 19, Cape May Tech won 9-7 at Wildwood Catholic. Hunter Tomlin went three-for-five and scored two runs for the Hawks. Middle Township won 9-6 at Lower Cape May. Jarrett Langrell went two-for-three with two RBIs for the Panthers. Ocean City won 10-3 at Absegami.
On May 20, Cape May Tech hosted Bridgeton and won, 10-0. Carson Denham had two hits, two RBIs and scored a run for the Hawks. Wildwood won 12-2 at home against Clayton. Andrew Mormile went four-for-four and scored four runs for the Warriors.
Softball:
On May 16, Wildwood won 5-3 over Cape Christian Academy. Natalee Colon led the Warriors to their first win going three-for-three with a triple and two RBIs. Middle Township won 15-0 at Bridgeton. Alyssa Sittineri went two-for-two and had a run for the Panthers. Ocean City won 19-9 at Holy Spirit. Rachel Zeides went five-for-five, hitting her 100th career hit for the Red Raiders. Wildwood Catholic fell 8-1 at Cedar Creek. Emily Cimino had six strike-outs for the Crusaders.
On May 17, Middle Township fell 7-5 at home against St. Joseph. Lower Cape May fell 11-5 at Holy Spirit.
On May 19, Cape May Tech won 16-3 at Bridgeton. Wildwood fell 10-9 at home against Salem. Ocean City fell 5-1 at home against Absegami. Lower Cape May fell 17-0 at home against Cedar Creek.
Boys Lacrosse:
On May 16, Lower Cape May hosted Vineland and won, 19-5. Cole Blackley led the Caper Tigers with five goals.
On May 18, Ocean City hosted Allentown in the first round of the South Jersey Group II playoffs and won, 9-6. In Group I action, Middle Township fell 16-2 at Delaware Valley and Lower Cape May fell 19-3 at Haddonfield Memorial.
On May 21, Ocean City traveled to Rumson-Fair Haven in the second round of Group II playoffs and fell, 11-0.
Girls Lacrosse:
On May 16, Ocean City hosted Egg Harbor Township and won, 21-10. Emily DiMarino led the Red Raiders with six goals. Lower Cape May fell 15-12 at home against Millville. Abby Boyle led the Caper Tigers with four goals.
On May 18, Middle Township hosted Woodstown in the first round of the Group I playoffs and won, 20-7. In Group II action, Lower Cape May fell 18-5 at West Deptford.
On May 19, Ocean City hosted Central Regional in the first round of Group III playoffs and won, 18-3. Emily DiMarino led the Red Raiders with five goals.
Golf:
On May 16, Sean McMullen of Middle Township shot his career-best 76 in the Central/South Group I tournament in Woodstown. McMullen finished second and will compete in the Tournament of Champions at Hopewell Valley Golf Club on May 23.
On May 19, Cape May Tech won 178-265 at Bridgeton. Middle Township won 164-182 at St. Joseph.
Boys Tennis:
On May 16, Middle Township hosted Buena Regional in the South Jersey Group I quarterfinals and won, 5-0. Lower Cape May hosted Cedar Creek and won, 4-1. Ocean City fell 3-2 to Seneca in the first round of the South Jersey Group III quarterfinals. Wildwood fell 3-2 at home against Penns Grove.
On May 17, Lower Cape May fell 4-1 at Delran in the second round of the South Jersey Group II.
On May 18, Middle Township won 5-0 at Oakcrest. Lower Cape May won 5-0 at Holy Spirit.
On May 19, top-ranked Middle Township hosted fourth-ranked Pitman in the South Jersey Group I semifinals and won, 5-0. In regular season, Ocean City won 4-1 at home against Atlantic City. Lower Cape May fell 4-1 at home against Millville.
On May 20, Lower Cape May won 5-0 at Buena Regional. Coach Greg Douglass earned his 300th win with the Caper Tigers in the victory. Wildwood Crest fell 3-2 at home against Holy Spirit. Wildwood fell 5-0 at Glassboro.
