Boys Basketball:
On Jan. 4, the Wildwood Catholic boys defeated Atlantic County Institute of Technology, 72-41. Caleb Fields led the Crusaders with 21 points. Cape May Tech fell to St. Joseph at home, 68-38. Josh Wright had 20 points for the Hawks.
On Jan. 5, Wildwood won 68-65 at Pitman. Kyion Flanders had 24 points for the Warriors. Middle Township defeated Ocean City, 59-48. Tim Toney led the Panthers with 20 points while Luciano Lubrano led the Red Raiders with 19 points. Lower Cape May fell to Absegami, 58-34. Pat Holden scored 17 points for the Caper Tigers.
On Jan. 6, Wildwood Catholic traveled to St. Joseph and won, 83-60. DJ Smith led the Crusaders with a game high 25 points.
On Jan. 7, Ocean City won 71-57 on the road at Bridgeton. Luciano Lubrano had 16 points for the Red Raiders. Wildwood hosted Gloucester Catholic and won, 53-43. Kyion Flanders had 14 points for the Warriors. Lower Cape May fell to St. Augustine Prep on the road, 69-40. Pat Holden had a game high 16 points for the Caper Tigers.
On Jan. 8, Middle Township hosted St. Joseph and won, 60-31. LeVerne Fitzpatrick led the Panthers with 12 points.
On Jan. 9, Ocean City fell at home to Pleasantville, 77-74. Connor Laverty scored a game high 31 points for the Red Raiders. Cape May Tech lost 68-46 at home to Atlantic Christian. TJ Thompson had 13 points for the Hawks. Wildwood traveled to Salem and fell, 71-54. Kyion Flanders had 24 points for the Warriors.
Girls Basketball:
On Jan. 4, the Wildwood Catholic girls won against Atlantic County Institute of Technology, 42-40. Mary Gomez scored the game winning basket for the Crusaders and Caitlin McMullan added 15 points. The Cape May Tech girls won in overtime against at St. Joseph, 43-39. Aras Walker led the Hawks with 17 points.
On Jan. 5, Ocean City hosted Middle Township and won, 42- 26. Alexis Paone had 17 points for the Red Raiders and Bridget Ruskey had 8 points for the Panthers. Wildwood fell to Pitman, 47-42. Mackenzie and Maddie McCracken each had 14 points for the Warriors. Lower Cape May fell to host Absegami, 37-25. Olivia Levin scored 8 points for the Caper Tigers.
On Jan. 6, Wildwood Catholic defeated St. Joseph on the road, 52-30. Caitlin McMullan led the Crusaders with a game high 22 points. Cape May Tech fell to Atlantic County Institute of Technology at home, 62-27. Aras Walker had 9 points for the Hawks.
On Jan. 7, Lower Cape May hosted Our Lady of Mercy Academy and won, 43-24. Jessica Elliot led the Caper Tigers with 10 points. Ocean City hosted Bridgeton and came out on top, 57-16. Nicole Piergross had 15 points for the Red Raiders. Wildwood fell on the road to Gloucester Catholic, 63-34. Mackenzie McCracken had 15 points for the Warriors.
On Jan. 8, Wildwood Catholic traveled to Cumberland County College and won 49-36 over Paulsboro. Head coach Steve DiPatri earned his 400th career win while Caitlin McMullan scored a game high 20 points. Middle Township won 44-27 on the road at St. Joseph. Bridget Ruskey had 10 points and Jenna Herlihy had 9 points for the Panthers.
On Jan. 9, Wildwood defeated Salem at home, 65-32. Jillian Freeman led the Warriors with 22 points. Cape May Tech fell to host Atlantic Christian, 59-38. Aras Walker had 16 points for the Hawks.
Swimming:
On Jan. 5, the Middle Township boys hosted Buena Regional and won, 90-79. Cape May Tech boys and girls fell to Oakcrest on the road, 105-64 and 124-45, respectively.
On Jan. 6, the Ocean City girls and boys hosted Mainland Regional and split the meet. The Red Raider girls came out on top, 99-71, while the boys fell, 128-42.
On Jan. 8, Middle Township won 114-55 over rival Lower Cape May. Cape May Tech girls won 51-43 over Our Lady of Mercy Academy. Wildwood Catholic fell to host Cedar Creek, 96-74.
Wrestling:
On Jan. 6, Lower Cape May hosted rival Middle Township and won, 38-30. Alex Pruszinski (120), Joe Flick (195) and Joshua Antorino (Hwt.) each had pins for the Caper Tigers. Austin Cominsky (220) had the only pin for the Panthers. Ocean City hosted Millville and won, 33-30. David Levin (126) and Cameron Andres (145) each had pins for the Red Raiders.
