Baseball:
On April 5, Lower Cape May hosted Atlantic County Institute of Technology and won, 9-5. Winning pitcher Josh Meyer struck out five players and doubled while Kevin Roach went three for three for the Caper Tigers. Middle Township defeated Bridgeton, 8-2. Winning pitcher David Salvo struck out fifteen while Aaron Garcia scored two runs for the Panthers. Wildwood fell 6-5 to Pennsville Memorial. Pitcher Billy Bolle went two for three and Justin Soto scored two runs for the Warriors.
On April 6, Wildwood defeated Pitman, 6-2. Winning pitcher Brendan Bean went three for three with two doubles and three RBIs for the Warriors. Ocean City defeated Absegami, 10-0. Winning pitcher Sean Mooney struck out eleven in the Red Raiders win.
On April 7, Cape May Tech defeated Pleasantville, 15-0, in five innings. Paul Edmunds led the Hawks with four RBIs and three runs scored. Middle Township won 5-2 against St. Joseph. Dave Salvo hit a two-run single in the first inning for the Panthers. Wildwood Catholic fell 17-2 to host Cedar Creek.
On April 8, Lower Cape May defeated Cedar Creek, 7-1. Winning pitcher Ryan Hill had seven strikeouts for the Caper Tigers. Ocean City defeated Egg Harbor Township, 10-1. Winning pitcher Josh Arnold had twelve strikeouts for the Red Raiders. Cape May Tech fell 14-5 on the road at St. Joseph. Wildwood fell 14-8 on the road at Gloucester Catholic. Wildwood Catholic fell at home to Buena Regional, 17-5.
On April 11, Wildwood hosted Salem and won, 17-11. Brendan Bean hit a two-run homerun for the Warriors. Ocean City fell 4-3 against host Holy Spirit. Josh Arnold had two hits for the Red Raiders. Middle Township fell 14-4 against Absegami.
Softball:
On April 5, Middle Township defeated Bridgeton, 17-1. Ten of the Panthers’ runs occurred in the first inning. Cape May Tech fell 10-5 to Atlantic City. Danielle DeRitis had three hits and two RBIs for the Hawks. Lower Cape May fell on the road at Atlantic County Institute of Technology, 11-2.
On April 6, Middle Township defeated rival Cape May Tech, 10-0. Winning pitcher Lacey Abrego went two for four with two RBIs for the Panthers. Wildwood Catholic defeated Atlantic County Institute of Technology, 6-5. Winning pitcher Emily Cimino struck out twelve for the Crusaders. Ocean City fell 9-3 to Absegami. Catherine Faust had a double and scored a run for the Red Raiders.
On April 7, Middle Township fell to host St. Joseph, 2-1. Kayla Cubernot scored the Panthers’ only run.
On April 8, Wildwood Catholic fell 5-3 against Buena Regional. Cape May Tech fell 13-3 against St. Joseph. Lower Cape May fell to Cedar Creek, 15-0. Ocean City fell to Egg Harbor Township, 14-0. Wildwood fell 19-0 to Gloucester Catholic.
On April 11, Wildwood Catholic won 6-4 at Vineland. Ocean City won 8-4 at rival Middle Township. Wildwood fell 8-7 to host Salem.
Boys Lacrosse:
On April 5, Lower Cape May won 17-5 on the road at Cedar Creek. Cole Blackley led the Caper Tigers with four goals and James Cella had eight saves. Middle Township hosted Holy Spirit and won, 13-3. Dimitri Terenik and Giovanni Berardis led the Panthers with five goals apiece and Matt Kirkland had twelve saves. Ocean City won 11-6 at Absegami. Jeremiah Johnson and Garrett Benvenuti led the Red Raiders with three goals each and Mark Kolmer had nineteen saves.
On April 6, Ocean City defeated Atlantic City, 14-3. Jeremiah Johnson led the Red Raiders with five goals.
On April 7, Middle Township defeated Cedar Creek, 16-8. Tommy Williams led the Panthers with six goals and Matt Kirkland had ten saves.
On April 9, Ocean City fell 7-4 to Emmaus (PA). Marty Cattie and Jeremiah Johnson had two goals apiece for the Red Raiders.
On April 11, Lower Cape May won 15-2 against Vineland. Cole Blackley led the Caper Tigers with five goals and James Cella had eleven saves. Ocean City won 16-1 over host Holy Spirit. Shane Stack and Marty Cattie led the Red Raiders with three goals each. Middle Township fell at home to Absegami, 14-5. Dimitri Terenik scored two goals for the Panthers.
Girls Lacrosse:
On April 5, Lower Cape May defeated Cedar Creek, 18-7. Devon Blackey led the Caper Tigers with seven goals and Brianna Davids had twelve saves. Middle Township won 16-5 at Holy Spirit. Bridget Ruskey led the Panthers with five goals and Sam Kersaw had eight saves. Ocean City won 19-5 against Absegami. Five of the Red Raiders led the team with three goals apiece.
On April 6, Ocean City defeated Atlantic City, 16-2. Emily DiMarino led the Red Raiders with six goals.
On April 7, Middle Township defeated Cedar Creek, 24-12. Bridget Ruskey led the Panthers with ten goals.
On April 8, Lower Cape May won 18-3 on the road at Burlington City. Jenna Durbin led the Caper Tigers with six goals. Ocean City defeated host Oakcrest, 16-5. Lexie Sharp had four goals for the Red Raiders.
On April 11, Ocean City won 16-0 over Holy Spirit. Lexie Sharp scored five goals for the Red Raiders. Middle Township won 19-4 over Absegami. Bridget Ruskey led the Panthers with eight goals. Lower Cape May fell 10-9 in overtime against host Millville. Amanda Durbin and Ashely each scored three goals for the Caper Tigers.
Golf:
On April 5, Lower Cape May won 182-207 to host Cedar Creek. Ocean City won 179-189 to host Absegami.
On April 6, Middle Township won 173-186 at home against St. Joseph. Wildwood fell to host Gloucester Catholic, 181-258.
On April 7, Cape May Tech won 175-189 over St. Joseph. Ocean City won 165-215 over Oakcrest.
On April 8, Cape May Tech won 247-250 over Wildwood Catholic. Wildwood fell 243-251 to Penns Grove.
On April 11, Ocean City won 170-183 over Millville. Middle Township won 176-193 over rival Lower Cape May. Wildwood fell 198-237 over Pennsville.
Boys Tennis:
On April 5, Middle Township defeated Cedar Creek, 5-0. Ocean City fell 4-1 to host Mainland. Wildwood fell 5-0 to Triton Regional.
On April 6, Middle Township won 4-1 against rival host Lower Cape May. Ocean City won 3-2 at home against Egg Harbor Township.
On April 8, Wildwood Catholic fell 5-0 against Bridgeton.
On April 11, Lower Cape May won 4-1 over Holy Spirit. Middle Township won 5-0 against Oakcrest. Ocean City fell 3-2 against St. Augustine Prep. Wildwood Catholic fell 4-1 against Buena Regional. Wildwood fell 4-1 against Pennsville.
Track & Field:
On April 6, the Lower Cape May boys and girls defeated county rival Wildwood Catholic. The Caper Tiger boys won 92-32 while the girls won 118-21. Ocean City boys defeated Mainland, 72-68, and Millville, 73-67. Middle Township boys fell 78-62 to Bridgeton. Wildwood boys fell 109-13 to Gloucester City.
On April 11, the Ocean City boys and girls team defeated Vineland, 91-49 and 99-41, respectively. Middle Township girls won 105-34 over Wildwood Catholic and 76-61 over Pleasantville. Middle Township boys won 97-41 over Wilddwood Catholic and 72-76 over Pleasantville.
